How Gonglitea handles information in the app.

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Gonglitea is a tea timer for Apple Watch. It does not require an app account and does not collect personal data for advertising, marketing, or analytics.

Data on your device

Gonglitea saves your timer settings, current tea session, and up to three recently ended sessions locally on your device so you can continue brewing later. The app shares timer state with its own watch-face complications and Smart Stack widget through local storage.

Notifications, Siri, and Shortcuts

With your permission, Gonglitea schedules local notifications to let you know when a steep is finished. You can manage notification permissions in your Apple Watch settings. If you choose to use Siri or Shortcuts, those features are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s privacy settings and policies.

Data sharing

Gonglitea does not send your tea-session data to the developer, operate a server for your sessions, or include advertising or third-party analytics services. It does not implement cloud synchronization.

Stored sessions

Ending a tea session saves it to the recent-session list. The app keeps the three most recently ended sessions; older entries are replaced as you finish new sessions.
